Angie is a single mom who at the age of 30 has been diagnosed with breast cancer. Her 15 yr. old daughter has been diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes and Celiac Disease. Tuesday, May 22nd, Hospice of Dubuque will host the annual Tree of Life Memorial Service and Lighting Ceremony in Washington Park at 7:30 pm. To purchase a light on the tree, send a tax-deductible gift of any amount, along with the name of your loved one, to Hospice of Dubuque at 1670 JFK Road, Dubuque, IA 52002. The name of your loved one will be printed in the Tree of Life program if the gift is received by Friday, May 18.

The Annual Duck Race and Fireworks Spectacular to benefit Camp Albrecht Acres. Gate opens at 5:00 pm, duck race at 8:00 pm, fireworks at dusk. Admission is $4 person, 12 and under free. Lots of free games for kids. Ducks can be adopted for $5 each or $20 for 5. Cash prizes will be awarded for first 4 ducks to cross the pond. Food will be available for purchase. Bring your lawn chair and blanket to experience a great fireworks display of 30 - 45 minutes. Camp Albrecht Acres is located at 14837 Sherrill Road.

Saturday, June 30, It's "Rabbi Palooza", the 1st Annual Bob "Rabbi" Beinborn Memorial Benefit at Splinter Park in Cuba City. Doors open at 2pm. Live music all day. Admission is $20 and can be purchased by going to the "Buy Ticket" page at www.rabbiscc.com or at the day of the benefit. Proceeds of this event will go to help fund the new Cuba City Community Center and other civic needs in the community.
