The Jackson County Jail Advisory Committee will host an Open House at the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and Jail. A total of 4 one hour long tours will run at the top of each hour beginning at 3:00pm. A short question and answer session will be held at the end of each tour. Sertoma Kids Got Talent

The 3rd Annual Sertoma Kids Got Talent, a talent show for kids ages 5 to 17, will be held at the Bell Tower Theater.  The contest entry fee is $20 per child. Registration forms can be found online at sertomadbq.weebly.com or on the Sertoma Facebook site. They can also be picked up at Remax Reality 4029 Pennsylvania Ave. Admission at the door is $5. The East Dubuque Lion’s Club is sponsoring the annual East Dubuque Independence Day Celebration at Dunleith Park. This party in the park includes kid’s activities, free entry to the swimming pool, food and drink, and fireworks at dusk. Someone will win a 2019 can am defender XT in the raffle. There is no charge for the show however there is a $1 entry fee per car into the park; bicycles and pedestrians may enter for free.
