Carnegie-Stout Public Library Free Holiday Food Pantry
The Carnegie-Stout Public Library is offering a free food pantry to the public through December 30th during regular library hours. Anyone in need is welcome to take items from the pantry. If you would like to make a donation of canned goods or dry packaged foods, you can leave them with a staff member at any library service desk.
Fountain of Youth Program Weekly Virtual Series
The Fountain of Youth Program will host a weekly virtual series of Community Education support groups on Tuesday’s through January 26th. The sessions are from 5:00pm to 6:30pm and topics include Government, Housing, Neighborhood and Community. Join them online at @fountainofyouthprogram.
The Midwest Medical Center Auxiliary annual Tree of Love Fundraiser
The Midwest Medical Center Auxiliary Annual Tree of Love Fundraiser is underway. Money raised through the sponsoring of ornaments or donations through December 11th will help support the hospital and Galena Stauss Senior Care Community. Donation envelopes are available at the hospital gift shop and in the hospital lobby. Questions can be directed to the hospital gift shop at (815) 777-6056.
Mathias Ham Historic Site offering Candlelight Tours

National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium Day Camps
The National Mississippi River Museum and Aquarium will offer modified Day Camps for elementary youth December 28-31, 2020. The camps have been modified to accommodate new health and safety standards and limited class sizes. Camps run from 9:00am to 4:00pm and wrap-around care is provided at a small additional charge. The Carnegie-Stout Public Library National Family Literacy Month
November is National Family Literacy Month. The Carnegie-Stout Public Library is providing free story time kits to families with preschool-aged children and free chapter book kits to families with children in elementary school during the month. Caregiver Support Group for Caregivers of Dementia Patients/Family Members
